CONFERENCES- Please contact us and let us know several dates that will be convenient for you to meet with us. I am available almost everyday (either 7:00 AM or a 2:45 PM). We are also available to do phone conferences, if this works best for you & your family. Email or use the agendas to communicate the days of the week that are best for you and we will get back with you to confirm.
Behavior Plan
As for our classroom behavior plan, I have adopted the point tracking system in order to keep track of my students' behavior. Every student starts out with 10 points each day and as the day progresses students can either gain points or lose points depending on positive or negative actions. Students with the most points will get to have lunch with me in the classroom, earn extra time for recess or the right to purchase something in my treasure box with their Mr. M dollars. 50 points a week earn student 5 Mr. M dollars. I have found this to be more effective than consistently writing infractions which can lead to detention or suspension. I will write those points on their agendas every day or their notebook. There will be consequences for too many negative points, for examples- time off recess, time out, go to another classroom for 10 minutes, reflection essay or a phone call home. As we all know a well- managed classroom is where learning actually occurs. I sincerely need your support implementing my behavior plan by signing your child's agenda and notebook each day. Thank you!
